    Private Scholarships
    Private scholarships are funded by individuals or organizations in the community. These are not funded by ACBA and are awarded directly to the student. Students can apply for many outside scholarships to help with the cost of attending college.

    ACBA Scholarships
    ACBA internal scholarship funds are solely based on the fundraising efforts of the institution. These scholarships are primarily needs based. Decisions about these scholarships are typically made during the first week of August. Completion of the FAFSA is required.

  • Grants

    Federal Pell Grant
    The Federal Pell Grant is typically awarded to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need. The amount of a student’s grant is based on their financial need, COA, and enrollment status. Unlike loans, students do not have to repay this amount.

    Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
    FSEOG is a grant for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. In most cases, FSEOG does not have to be repaid by the student, however there are exceptions under certain circumstances. More information here. The amount of this grant varies.

    To receive federal grants, students must complete the FAFSA, be a full-time student, and maintain satisfactory academic progress.

    Loans are money that is borrowed with the agreement to repay the total amount with interest.
