About Professor Blum:
“I studied Architecture, briefly, at the University of Virginia, before graduating with a concentration in Sculpture. While at UVA, I began working at a local Architectural Iron shop under a third-generation British Smith. Over the next 15 years, I had the opportunity to work with several skilled American and European journeyman Smiths, primarily in Eastern Pennsylvania, along the way, I studied metals at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where I managed the studio. After starting a family, I felt pulled toward education, and earned my teaching certificate in 2011. Having taught Art in public schools for the past 15 years, I'm excited to bring my two careers together at ACBA.”
