About Professor Rosen
Sacha Rosen is an architect, educator, husband, and father whose work stands at the intersection of history, craft, and human connection. Guided by a belief in the enduring power of beauty, truth and the common good, he engages the world through relationships and degrees that give form to timeless ideas.
Over the course of his career, Sacha has helped shape skylines and preserve heritage. His portfolio spans more than 10 million square feet of completed work with a market value exceeding $5 billion, including over 30 landmark residential, office, hotel, and mixed-use towers across major cities in the Eastern United States. From high-rise innovation to the meticulous restoration of historic structures, his practice reflects a rare fluency between scale, context, and craft.
As Professor and Chair of the Department of Classical Architecture and Design at the American College of the Building Arts in Charleston, South Carolina, Sacha leads students through the living tradition of classical design - from foundational form and proportion to original works of architectural imagination. He is also the founder of the Building Arts Institute, which unites the college’s craftspeople and faculty with clients seeking design grounded in authenticity and artistry. In his role as Campus Architect, he guides the evolution of the college itself, ensuring its built environment reflects the values it teaches.
Sacha is the Founding Principal of his eponymous firm, Sacha Rosen, Architect and a Funding Principal of R21: Architects, PLLC. He serves on the Design Review Borard of Sullivan’s Island, SC.
