Markus Damwerth
Grew up in a carpenter family in 3rd generation and started his career as a carpenter with an apprenticeship in Münster/Germany 1981-1984. After working practically in the field of architectural carpentry as well as cabinetmaking from 1985-1988 he attended the “Master-School” of the chamber of craftsmanship in Lower Bavaria and graduated as a master carpenter in 1989.
Back in his family owned business in Münster he started working in planning and construction managing for several projects like windows for the Opera house in Chemnitz, Germany, windows and doors for the Museum of modern Arts in Chemnitz, Germany, interior carpentry and cabinets for the House of German History in Bonn, Germany and windows for the episcopal palace, Münster, Germany
In 1992 he took over the company from his parents and built a new shop and administration building and extended the company up to 30 employees. And began working on more complex projects like ship interiors, custom-made sunrooms and windows which include burglary-, gunshot- and explosion- protection -but still following preservation regulations- were made. Beside several private homes many public buildings like the state house of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/Germany and the federal supreme court in Leipzig/Germany were the places where he worked.
2001 to 2003 he attended the expert training at the chamber old craftmanship in Münster and became a publicly sworn expert. Until 2019 he provided expert opinions especially according construction physics and worked as a instructor.
Besides that he served as chairman of the board of the association of windowmakers in North-Rhine-Westphalia and was member of the national board of window makers in Germany.
