Catherine Brack

Catherine Brack has many years of work experience in development, fundraising, strategic planning, project management and creating highly effective fundraising events. Throughout her career, she has specialized in creating successful funding relationships for non-profit organizations. Brack specializes in making good organizations great, and has a broad background in targeting and securing long term institutional funding.

Brack specializes in fundraising strategy and execution, strategic planning, networking events and major fundraisers, and interim development work for organizations in transition. Her tenured experience includes working with technology policy, human services, international peace building organizations, advocacy organizations, public television, performing arts, and other cause-related and philanthropic charities.

Brack was an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston’s School of Arts Management, teaching future arts leaders the art of fundraising. Brack was the director of development for Youth America Grand Prix and the Charleston Gaillard Center. Prior to that, she ran a successful consulting practice in Washington, D.C. Previous roles include director of external relations/development for the Center for Democracy & Technology, national corporate and foundation fundraiser for United Cerebral Palsy, and lead consultant with PBS Sponsorship Group, where she managed a portfolio of PBS’s nationally distributed television programs and secured corporate underwriting for a diverse range of shows. Prior to her work in Washington, D.C., Brack was the marketing director for Spivey Hall, a top-tier classical and jazz music performance venue on the campus of Clayton State University. Additionally, she negotiated sponsorship agreements for World Travel Partners, a Centennial Olympic Games sponsor, and managed on-site events for National Public Radio (NPR).
